GLITZ AND GLAM AT LINCOLN HEIGHTS

Dressed in their red carpet best, debutantes, educators and parents stepped out in ballgowns and suites at the the Lincoln Heights 2024 Debs Ball.

The event, which was held at Style and Grace, was a fund raising initiative hosted by the school.

“Encouraging and motivating learners to participate in a fundraising activity like a Deb’s ball is no east feat. Many learners found it difficult to fund raise in the current economic climate. The 28 learners who did participate need to be commended for their effort,” said a spokesperson for the school.

The highlights of the evening included ballroom dancing which was expertly choreographed by Mr Bisnath. The learners performed the graceful Viennese Waltz and the disco classic Staying Alive by the BeeGees . There was much anticipation as the announcement of the winners for the evening drew closer, including the learner who raised the most amount of money for the school.

The title of King went to Yadveer Maharaj while Dheeya Dookie was crowned Queen.

First Prince went to Akshay Naidoo and First Princess to Nivasha Simunger.

Varun Naidoo was crowned Second Prince and Asmikka Ramdin Second Princess.

Best dance couple of the evening was awarded to Rafik Dubree and Terissa Naraindas ,while the most stylish couple of the evening went to Rafik Dubree and Lwandla Mpanza.

All funds raised by the learners will be used for the upliftment of Lincoln Heights Secondary School.

The school would like to thank Mrs Y Naicker for planning the spectacular event and the Deb’s Ball committee for their assistance.
